The Empyrean - My Current Thoughts - Spoilers

So, I've been thinking about Xaden and his slowly turning Venin.  As far as the Irid dragon said, in Onyx Storm, there is no cure, but if anyone could find one, it would be Violet and her friends.  I still say that there is one out there, it just hasn't been discovered yet.  I mean the Venin pre-date  Dragons choosing to bond with riders.  Here's what google says:

In the context of the Empyrean series, Venin are individuals who draw power from the earth, corrupting their souls in the process, and their origins are tied to the Barrens. The Barrens, a desolate region abandoned by dragonkind, is described as being "painted in crimson," suggesting a connection between the land and the corruption associated with Venin. The first seven riders were bonded with dragons to counter the Venin, implying their existence predates the riders. While their presence is ancient, their ability to attack villages and cities is more recent, possibly within the last decade.

Here's a more detailed breakdown:

Ancient, but not well-defined timeline:

The Venin war and their presence in the world of Poromiel is not clearly dated. While their origins are ancient, their ability to take cities and villages is more recent.

The Barrens Connection:

The Barrens, a region abandoned by dragonkind due to its desolation, is where Venin originate. The crimson color associated with the Barrens suggests a link between the land and the corruption of the Venin.

Riders and Venin:

The first seven riders were bonded with dragons to fight the Venin, indicating their existence before the riders. This suggests a long-standing conflict between humans and Venin, possibly before the formation of the current rider system.

Recent escalation of attacks:

While the Venin have been around for a while, their ability to raid and take over settlements is a more recent development, potentially within the last decade.

Xaden's transformation:

In the story, Xaden becomes Venin while fighting to save Violet during a battle, highlighting the danger of drawing power from the earth.

It has to do with balance, and I'm thinking there's an ancient lost knowledge in how to keep that balance and heal those who choose to be healed.  That's my passing thought on it.
