Re-Listening to Fourth Wing

So, I have this new theory about Jack Barlow.  So, it seems more than a coincidence that he was the person right behind Violet.  What if some of those guards at General Sorrengail's office report to Colonel Aetos? (or was he a Major?  I forget) and were told to let him know what the General does in regard to her youngest child, Violet.  I mean, he must have had some inkling that Lilith must have suspected him of some kind of duplicity, but had no proof and was playing the long game.  So, while it was expected for Violet to go into the Scribes Quadrant, he had to suspect that she might throw Violet into the Riders Quadrant and planned ahead just in case.

Jack Barlow could have been someone he and his associates were grooming to become an initiate at some later point, and assigned Violet as his task. Perhaps he had Violet pointed out at some point so that he'd follow her to accomplish his task, which might have been to find the information her father hid away and then 'take care of her' the way her father was 'taken care of.' I mean, if she had gone into the Scribes Quadrant, would he have gone there to try and find that information Aetos and his coalition were looking for about the feathertails before killing Violet off?  Or did they have another person in play for the Scribes Quadrant and had Jack in play as a backup if she was actually thrown into the Riders Quadrant, and when Violet was made to train for those six months with Major Gillstead, figured out where her mother was sending her, and activated Jack and set him a task.  I mean, in Iron Flame, there was this brief mention of seeing an unknown, hooded Scribe crossing the Riders Quadrant shortly after Violet and her squad escape the interrogation chamber, and later on, we see some Venin disguised as scribes in Onyx Storm, which makes me wonder how long they were there?   Not to mention, if an initiate does not channel for a while, the red in his eyes disappears.  What if Jack was made an initiate before parapet?  There's this scene where he waits for another cadet and tosses him off the parapet, and Violet observes how the weather does not seem to bother him as he starts walking across again.  You see this again with the Venin, who managed to get onto Tarin, whom Violet confronted.  She seemed untouched by all that was going on around her, including outside influences like movement and wind.  And when Aetos and whoever was working with him were informed that Lilith was throwing Violet into the Riders Quadrant, it was an opportunity to get rid of a potential future obstacle in their path of finding Asher's hidden work on feathertails, or using Violet to find it and then kill her.  I'm almost a hundred percent sure Markham is in on it, but perhaps with his own hidden agenda.

These are my thoughts to date.  I'll probably refine as I go along.
