Future Possibilities For Endgame of The Empyrean

It was never our continent. From the very beginning, it was theirs, and we were simply allowed to live here. —The Journal of Warrick of Luceras —Translated by Cadet Violet Sorrengail - Iron Flame Page  731, beginning of chapter 56 (Kindle Cloud Reader version) by Rebecca Yarros (The Empyrean Series)

AI Overview
In Rebecca Yarros's fantasy series,
The Empyrean, the traditional and ancestral hatching grounds for dragons are located in several distinct regions. The Empyrean is the term for the unified dragonkind within this world.
Hatching grounds in Navarre
  • The Vale (Steelridge Range): After the Great War and the Unification, the dragons designated this sacred valley behind Basgiath War College as their primary communal hatching ground.
    • This is the ancestral ground of the green dragons of the Uaineloidsig line, which they gave up for the good of all dragons.
    • Eggs and young dragons are protected here until they are mature enough to fend for themselves.
    • The valley contains a wardstone that provides a powerful magical shield for the kingdom of Navarre.
  • Aretia Thermal Valley: Located above Riorson House in the province of Tyrrendor, this is the original ancestral hatching ground of the rare black dragons of the Dubhmadinn line.
    • The valley's natural thermal heat makes it warm year-round.
    • During the events of Iron Flame, the valley is reclaimed as a hatching ground, leading to the birth of new black dragons.
Hatching grounds before Unification
Before the dragons united and created a central hatching ground, different dragon colors used their own traditional locations.
  • Dubhmadinn Line (Black dragons): Their ancestral grounds were in the valley above Riorson House in Aretia.
  • Uaineloidsig Line (Green dragons): Their ancestral grounds were in the Steelridge Mountain Range, which was given to become the Vale.
  • Gormfaileas Line (Blue dragons): Their original hatching grounds were near the Poromish city of Cordyn, a region known for its warm climate.
  • Fhaicorain Line (Orange dragons): The Northern Esben Range was believed to be their hatching grounds before Unification, though they were known to unpredictably choose new valleys in the same range.
  • Red dragons: Their ancestral hatching grounds were located along the limestone cliffs of the Dunness River.

The only two dragon clans we don't know the ancestral hatching grounds are the Brown and
the Irids.

Which has me thinking of Endgame possibilities, once the Venin are, if not eradicated, brought
under control.  First, with the alliance with Poromiel, an exchange (for those who want to) of
Dragons and Griffins in the distribution of locations.  Second, this means that they can create
more Wardstones at various locations, which means some of the different colors can  go back to their ancestral hatching grounds, which may help the earth to restore the
drained magic damage done by the venin.  Which makes me wonder what location the
original hatching grounds of the Browns and Irids used to be.  Perhaps what is now called the Barrens?

It will be interesting to see if this is addressed as the story unfolds.  Which also makes me wonder
about the Isles and if a restoration of magic could happen there or if they're naturally as they are.

This time though, I wonder if the Empyrean will have a representation of all the Dragon Clans at all the ancestral hatching sites and Griffins?
